Miss Olivia Is the newest member of our team but is already proving to be a wonderful asset to North Star Dance Studio. She will be guiding pupils through their BATD exams whilst also choreographing for our annual show and additional performing opportunities.
Here's a little bit more about her.
Having danced from a young age, I achieved my qualification to teach highland dancing in 2017 under Alexis Street Dance in Edinburgh with the British Association of Teachers of Dance (BATD).
I previously competed to premier level and had the opportunity to compete abroad. Throughout my highland dance career, I have had the privilege to perform at Celtic festivals in Europe, at the Glasgow Tattoo at the Hydro in Glasgow, the Buxton Military Tattoo as well as events at the National Museum of Scotland and Edinburgh Castle. I have also previously been a member of the Irish dance performing troupe Rythm Jig which was ran by former Lord of the Dance star Paul Devers.
I have always loved performing dance and hope to pass on this passion to my pupils.
When not teaching, you’ll find me participating in dance classes of other genres like Irish and ballet!
